Homemade Face Mask Recipes For All Skin Types
Avocado Face Mask - Avocado is wonderful and can usually be found on-sale at the grocery stores here in California for about $.33 - $.66 each. To use as a homemade face mask recipe just scoop out the meat, mash and rub onto skin. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse. The avocado face mask alone is basically a home facial itself.
Egg and Honey Homemade Face Mask - Mix together 1 T of honey, 1 egg yolk, 1/2 teaspoon almond oil (optional) and 1 T plain yogurt. Leave on face for 15 minutes and rinse. Honey stimulates the skin and makes it soft, egg and the optional almond oil give moisture and the yogurt tightens pores.
Egg White Face Mask (my personal favorite) - This homemade face mask is amazing and works as a moisturizing treatment that brightens the skin and tightens pores. To create this face mask, whip one egg white until it is a bit stiff, spread it on face and then put a layer of plain yogurt over that. Leave on face for 15 minutes and rinse.
Oatmeal and Yogurt Homemade Mask - Mix 2-3 T of plain yogurt with 1-2 T of Oatmeal, create a paste and spread on face. Allow face mask to dry 15 minutes, then rinse. This face treatment is a wonderful for skin brightening and exfoliating.
For a skin-brightening homemade face mask - Mix 1/2 T of Turmeric Powder with 1/2 cup of plain yogurt and spread on face and neck. Leave facial treatment on for 5-10 minutes and rinse.
Invigorating Carrot Face Mask - Mix 2-3 large carrots with 4 1/2 T of honey. Apply to skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
